Update on PRP stuff
Just what’s happening atm.
Second piece of Curve work
This is getting exciting, here’s the second piece of work I did for the Curve Theatre, I like this one, a lot more interviewing, editing was good in this, there wasn’t much to-ing and fro-ing with this from the client, seemed to get it in less than two edits. Which is always good. BEHOLD:
Proposal: BEGIN.
I figured now would be an opportune time to begin the Client Proposal. Blah blah, client, blah blah, proposal, blah blah. That’s all I’ve been blogging about. Anyway, start now, finish as early as I can to stay on top of the game- and watch 24 at the same time. How’s Jack gonna find Saunders? God this is intense.

Evaluation of Simulated Project Piracy Video
So a couple of days ago I posted the finished piece that was the ‘Piracy is Wrong’ video. It didn’t go exactly to plan, however, because there were parts in it I’d rather have went another way. For example, the light in the face was meant to be a light behind a mysterious silhouette, but I didn’t have the resources for this technique(or it didn’t look good when I tried it) so I decided to go another way.
So for whatever reason, I decided to do it at night. I wrote up a script, and the idea of the lights flickering on and off came to mind. So I thought “I HAVE to include this somehow”. That’s how I thought of shooting it in the dark. It worked out well too, only some of the shots which weren’t included didn’t come out well, one downside to shooting in the dark I guess.
The reverb on Ycarip’s voice sounded great before it was exported, but it became a tad crackly, something which I couldn’t figure out, even after reducing the volume of the audio file. Something I’ll definitely have to look into, but I think it works.
Not a bad piece I think, definitely has a lot more room for improvement, but still, I think it works well, and achieves what it’s meant to.

@ The Curve shooting Interviews
Now capturing the final parts of the remaining ‘Translations’ footage, just needs to be put together in a similar fashion to the ‘Hot Stuff’ footage:
I’m fully aware that the aspect ratio is 4:3, but unfortunately, one of The Curve’s technicians or IT guys compressed the poor baby so it ended up like that.
Fun stuff.
Recap of day @ Curve
So after spending a whole day at the Curve, I got some good footage shot of a couple of plays coming up, Translations and Molly Sweeney. Similar to the Hot Stuff footage I shot, minus the interviews. The interviews I’ll have to shoot(for Translations, anyway)tomorrow, because of some unforeseen circumstances.
Still though, good time today, it’d be a nice place to work permanently. Nice atmosphere.

Podcast for Movieville.org website
My ‘bit on the side’, Movieville.org is going pretty strong, but I think it’s time I add in a little something. Like a podcast. I’ve been thinking about adding a video review feature, but that would mean a little bit too much work, and time, something which isn’t cheap right now.
Just been researching into how to podcast, and it’s like asking my cats if they need a shit. I can’t get an answer.
Blegh, it’s a little frustrating.
